A Gut DayA Gut Day
Integrations

Connect what you already track.

Apple Health, Google Fit, Strava and Garmin all sync into A Gut Day. Workouts, sleep, cycle and steps appear next to your meals and symptoms automatically.

Why integrations matter for gut tracking

Sleep, exercise and stress all affect your gut, but logging them by hand is the first thing people skip. By pulling them in from devices and apps you already use, A Gut Day catches the lifestyle context behind your symptoms without extra effort.

What syncs in

Health platforms

Apple Health and Google Fit bring sleep, steps, mindful minutes, cycle and workouts.

Endurance training

Strava and Garmin Connect bring detailed workout data: zone, duration, fuel.

Wearables

Apple Watch, Fitbit and Garmin watches sync via the platforms above. No separate setup.

How to set up integrations

  1. 1

    Open Settings - Connections

All available integrations listed there with one-tap setup.

  2. 2

    Authorise the platform

Standard OAuth - the platform asks what data to share, you confirm.

  3. 3

    Pick what to sync

Per-data-type controls. Want sleep but not workouts? Toggle it.

  4. 4

Done - data backfills 30 days

Once connected, the last 30 days of data flows in automatically.

What integrations cannot do

We do not pull glucose or blood pressure from third-party meters yet. We do not import data from other gut apps directly - we accept manual export-paste only for now. We do not auto-log meals from photo-only food apps.

If an integration matters to you, the in-app feedback button is the fastest way to get it on the roadmap.

Privacy with integrations

All data syncs end-to-end. We only request the specific metrics you toggle on. You can disconnect any integration at any time, and choose whether to delete the previously-synced data when you do.

Nothing is shared with the source platform without your explicit re-authorisation.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an Apple Watch or Garmin?
No - Apple Health and Google Fit work with phone-only data. A wearable just adds richer signals like sleep stages and HRV.
Can I sync from Whoop or Oura?
Indirectly via Apple Health or Google Fit, which both rings sync with. Direct integration is on the roadmap.
Will the integration drain my battery?
No - syncing happens once or twice a day in the background, not continuously.
What if I switch from iOS to Android (or vice versa)?
Your A Gut Day data stays. You will need to set up Google Fit instead of Apple Health (or vice versa).
Can I sync with my GP's system?
Not directly. The PDF export works for any clinician's record system.
